    1. [S248] Staff, Petoskey News-Review: Obituaries, (Name: Petoskey News-Review; Location: Petoskey, Emmet, Michigan, United States;), McGarey, Theresa l. (Krussell).
      L. McGarey, 55, of Petoskey, passed away suddenly at Northern Michigan Hospital with her family at her side on Oct. 4, 2006.

She was born Dec. 23, 1951, the daughter of Raymond and Katherine (Simon) Krussell. Theresa graduated from St. Francis High School in 1969, then started working at Little Traverse Hospital as a Candy Striper. She continued working at Northern Michigan Hospital in the physical therapy department, most recently as office coordinator. She always worked in health care with the exception of a period of a few years to be a day care provider for a few nieces, nephews and cousins. Those special memories will always be cherished.

Theresa was a warm and loving person with a gentle loving soul; she adored her family. She was very hard-working and loved gardening every spring and doing things outdoors, including fishing and camping. She will be unendingly missed by her family.

Recently, she enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Jack Luesing, riding his Harley-Davidson. He made her last month’s very happy and filled with much love.

Theresa is survived by her children, Marty (Holly) McGarey of Boyne Falls, Nicole (Allen) Elya III of Petoskey, Crystal Crampton (Eric) of Lansing; grandchildren, Cora, Natasha, Meadow, Ethan, Cameron, Emma, Jordan and Allen IV; mother, Katherine Krussell; brothers, James (Beverley) Krussell, Gerald (Judy) Krussell, David (Janet) Krussell, Steven (Deb Potter) Krussell, Cheryl Krussell (Lee) Racignol; sister, Margie Krussell; and many dear nieces and nephews whom she adored immensely.

Theresa was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Joe and Edward, and father, Raymond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes for that purpose can be obtained at St. Francis Church.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at St. Francis Church, with a memorial service following. A luncheon will then be held at the Petoskey Snowmobile Club. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey.
