Mary Audrey Standish, 78, of Conover, N.C., died Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Camelot Manor in Granite Falls, N.C.
Born Feb. 21, 1931, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Norbert and Ethel Daubney Wegemer. As a young child she moved to Petoskey with her family.
She grew up and attended school in Petoskey, spending most of her life here.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Allan Wegemer.
Survivors include son, Peter Standish and wife, Lori, of Conover; daughters, Rose Standish of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and Margaret Hoballah and husband, Mark, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Standish, Mikey Standish, Eric Standish, Cassy Standish, Sarah Hoballah, Talal Hoballah, Jamal Hoballah, Hilal Hoballah and Yasmine Hoballah.
A graveside service took place Friday, June 26, at Conover City Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Collins officiating. The family received friends following the graveside service.
