Rosaline Marie Daniel , age 75 of Alma, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma with her daughter, Kathy at her side.
Visitation will be held at the Dewey Funeral Home in Alma on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Scripture Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. The funeral Mass for Rosaline will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alma on Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. Father Kevin Maksym will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Alma.
Rosaline was born in Alma on Nov. 29, 1932, to Victor G. and Regina M. (Wieferich) Fookes. On Aug. 22, 1953, she married Joseph Daniel at St. Mary Church in Alma, where she was lifetime member.
Rosaline worked for the Alma Reminder and the Morning Sun in layout and printing from co-op in high school until her retirement in 1999. She loved all the holidays and never missed sending birthday cards to family and friends. She looked forward to having company and preparing big meals for them. Her other interests included playing cards, baking, cooking, and making floral arrangements. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, Rosaline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Rosaline are her children, Michael (JoAnne) Daniel of Orlando, Fla., and Kathy (Lloyd) Grover of Elwell; her grandsons, Chad and Joey Grover, and Joseph and John Daniel ; her sister, MonaJean (Dave) Morgan of Livingston, Texas; her sissisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Julie Fookes, Casper (Barbara) Daniel of Indian River, Mich., Harold Daniel of Riverdale, Rita (Gene) Oswald of Edmore, Jim (Sara) Daniel of Farmington Hills, and of Alma, Dorothy (Bill) Cowdrey, Barbara Daniel , Donna Garrett, Pauline Daniel , Beverly (Randy) Stewart, Bernadette (Don) Howell, and Dennis Daniel .
Preceding Rosaline in death were her husband, Joseph Daniel ; her brother, Joseph Fookes; and three brothers-in-law, Richard, Bernard, and Albert Daniel .
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church of Alma.
The family is being served by the Dewey Funeral Home of Alma.
