Earl was born May 27, 1934 in St. Marys, a son of the late Norbert and Caroline Lecker, and was one of 11 children.

On Nov. 21, 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and fought in the Korean War. He devoted four years of his life serving our country, and was very proud to be a Korean War veteran.

He is also survived by a brother, Frank Lecker, and his wife Linda of St. Marys; and three sisters, Sr. Mary David, O.S.B, of St. Marys, Marian Mertz of St. Marys and Jane Moylan of DuBois.

In addition to his wife of more than 54 years, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, LaVern and Richard Lecker; a sister, Bernice Kline, and a sister in early childhood, Martha Lecker.
