Funeral services were scheduled today for Ellie M. Hout a retired house painter, who died; Wednesday in a Los Altos Convalescent Hospital after a short· illness. He was 79 Hout had lived on the Mid-peninsula for 19 years. His last home was at 1033 Crestview Drive, Mountain View. His wife, Marjorie, died in April. Hout was born in Ashland, Wis. He lived and worked as a house painter in a number of Midwestern cities, primarily in, Minnesota. He worked five years as a painter for Westinghouse Corp. in Sunnyvale before retiring. Hout was a member of the Sunnyvale Masonic Lodge and· of Little House of Menlo Park. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy M. Field · and Mrs. Dee L. Strom, both o, f Mountain View: a sister, Mrs. Daisy Botsford of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were to take.
