Leroy Secco, 79, died Sunday morning, Dec. 13, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Lisa Harvey, of 190 Hayes Rd. in Kersey, following a lengthy illness, passing from this life to his eternal reward.

Leroy was born May 19, 1936 in Kersey, the son of the late Amilcare and Ida Canton Secco. He was a loving father of two children, Kevin A. Secco of Plainfield, Ind., and Lisa A. Harvey (Joseph) of Kersey, with whom he had resided for the past three years.

Leroy attended school in Dagus Mines and was a lifelong resident of Kersey. He was an avid automobile enthusiast and collector. Leroy enjoyed gardening from the time he was a boy, a skill he learned by working alongside his father. He also enjoyed repairing and repurposing items, playing cards, attending flea markets, picking berries, being outdoors and engaging in a healthy, frugal lifestyle. He found value in everything and everyone. Leroy was a very outgoing, caring man with many lifelong friends close enough to consider family.

Leroy was a hard worker his entire life. He worked on the construction of Toby Road and East Branch Dam in the 1950s. He worked at Stackpole Carbon Company for 25 years, was a security guard at GKN in Kersey, was an employee of BiLo Foods of St. Marys, and the proud owner of Secco Auto Parts in Kersey for many years. Leroy was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Boniface Church in Kersey.

In addition to his children, he is also survived by his former wife, Marilyn Blessel Secco of Kersey; and his grandchildren, Rachel L. Wolfel, Chanel F. Wolfel, Jesse D. Wolfel, all of Kersey, Michael T. Wolfel, currently at Air Force basic training in Texas; a step-grandson, Nicholas J. Harvey of Kersey; and close friend Elizabeth Casolo of Ridgway.

Surviving brothers include Romolo "Romie" Secco (Florence) and Joseph Secco, both of Kersey, Gerard "Jerry" Secco (Barbara) of Weedville, and John Secco (Marilyn) of Plainfield, Ill., as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosemond Sidelinger, Barbara Kronenwetter, and Mary in infancy; and by four brothers, Arnold Secco, Armand Secco, Lawrence Secco, and Raymond Secco.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Leroy Secco to be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. in St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Ross Miceli, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Boniface Church, 355 Main St., Kersey, Pa. 15846.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.lynch-radkowski.com.
