1551	Enoch Froehlich The death of Enock Froehlich, one of our older and well known rural residents, occurred at his home early Thursday morning, following several years of ill health. Ten years ago, he broke an arm which caused a weakened and nervous condition and for several months has been serious. The deceased was born in Germany, on September 14, 1858, but came to America when quite a young man, and located in Pittsburgh. In 1883, he came to Barnesville where he was employed as a batch mixer in the Barnesville Glass Works and established a home, later purchasing a farm on the Olivet Road, his late residence, where he lived retired in his declining years. His wife, who was Elizabeth Wagner of Miltonsburg, preceded him in death eighteen years ago, but he is survived by four children: Edward and Herman Froehlich, Barnesville; Louis Froehlich, in the home; Mrs. John K. Cox, Martin's Ferry. One son, William, died in 1916, leaving one daughter, Margaret, a nurse in Wheeling, who was married on Thanksgiving eve, to K. W. Cunningham. He also leaves thirteen other grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, Jacob Froehlich in Germany. Funeral service, in charge of the Campbell Funeral directors, will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 in the Church of the Assumption, conducted by Rev. Father M. W. Sullivan. 1558	Facebook post from Wendy Wickett: My mother, Patty (Prechtl) Pollitt spent her last morning gazing out the window as the skies grew bright. Today was her 80th birthday, and at about 6:45, her suffering has ended. Mom is now with loved ones who have gone ahead, and enjoying a peace and beauty we can only dream of in this life. Thank you to everyone who has offered comfort and support during her lengthy and final illness. 1571	Family Reunion The family of C.A. Extrom, of E. Sixth Street, held a family reunion at Sizerville on July 5th. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. John Extrom and three children of Syracuse, Ny.; Mrs. J.C, DeCoursey and child of Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Bortree and five children, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cox and eight children and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Extrom and three children, all of Emporium- there being present all, besides the senior Mr. and Mrs. Extrom, three daughters, two sons, and twenty grandchildren. There was lots of ice cream with plenty of good things to eat and everybody had a delightful time and spent a most enjoyable day.
